Adult League FAQs and Rules of Play
WHEN DOES THE SEASON START?
All adult KVA Indoor Leagues start in September and end in April.
All adult KVA Beach Leagues start in May and end in August.
WHAT LEAGUE SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR?
(all fees and quantities are estimates as numbers change year to year)
Indoor: (Sept-April)
Competitive Co-ed: ~$780/team fee that covers gym rentals and all applicable administrative costs. Typically runs on Mondays and offers
~20 sessions (apprx. 1 hr/session). Offers medium to high level volleyball.
Competitive Ladies Only: ~$1200/team fee that covers gym rentals and all applicable administrative costs. Typically runs on Tuesdays and offers
~28 sessions (apprx. 2 hrs/session). Offers medium to high level volleyball.
Intermediate Ladies Only: $165/person fee that covers gym rentals and all applicable administrative costs. Typically runs on Tuesdays and offers
~28 sessions (apprx. 3hrs/session). Offers a more recreational level of volleyball.
Recreational/Intermediate Co-ed: ~$700/team fee that covers gym rentals and all applicable administrative costs. Typically runs on Wednesdays and offers
~23 sessions (apprx. 1 hr/session). Our most popular league, all levels of volleyball play are welcome.
Co-Ed 3's Beach: (May - August)

The KVA Board of Directors needs more presence from the adult side of the KVA. Speak to your convenor for more information on how to join the Board.
The members of the Board of Directors oversee the governance of the society and ensure that KVA:
Achieves outcomes consistent with the Society’s Mission, Vision, and objectives in accordance with our mandate and strategic plan Operates in a fiscally sound and prudent manner Operates according to our Constitution and Bylaws, and all applicable acts, statutes, and regulations.
Board members are expected to actively participate in all Board meetings, Annual General Meetings, and other commitments of the role. Board meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month from 7PM until 9PM. The Society asks for a minimum 2-year commitment to the role.
